Eligibility Criteria

Domicile Requirement: Candidates must be domiciled in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir and have resided there for at least 15 years before applying.

Age Limit as of 01-01-2024:
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age:
  - 40 years for Open Merit
  - 43 years for SC/ST/RBA/OBC/EWS
  - 42 years for Physically Challenged candidates
  - 48 years for Ex-Servicemen
  - 40 years for Government Service/Contractual employees

Educational Qualification: Minimum of Matriculation; maximum of 10+2.

Application Process

Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format (Annexure ‘A’).
A fee of Rs. 200 must be deposited via demand draft in favor of the Member Secretary, Legal Services Authority, Srinagar.
Applications should be submitted to the office of the Legal Services Authority or the concerned District Legal Services Authority.

Additional Information

In-service candidates must route their applications through the proper channel.
The last date for submission is the cut-off date for determining eligibility.
No TA/DA will be provided for candidates attending the test/interview.
