J&K Government Announces Eligibility and Documentation Guidelines for JKAS Officers to Time Scale Promotions
The General Administration Department (GAD) of Jammu and Kashmir has issued Circular, regarding the appointment of eligible Junior Scale JKAS officers to the Time Scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS). This initiative aims to evaluate the suitability of these officers based on specific criteria.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Time Scale, the following conditions must be met by the officers:
- Service Duration: The officer must have completed four years of service in the Junior Scale of JKAS.
- Probation Completion: The officer must have successfully completed their probation period.
- Performance and Vigilance: The officer must have satisfactory Annual Performance Reports (APRs) and a clear Vigilance Status.
Required Information from Administrative Departments
The GAD has requested all relevant Administrative Departments to provide the following details within a week’s time:
- Posting Details: Complete posting details of the officers, along with their latest vigilance status, if available.
- Certificates:
- Information on any departmental or criminal proceedings pending against the officers.
- An integrity certificate signed by the Administrative Secretary.
- Any court orders that may affect the preparation of the select list.
- Annual Performance Reports: APRs for the last five years, duly initiated, reviewed, and accepted.
