The General Administration Department (GAD) of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued Government Order No. 2062-JK(GAD) of 2024 dated 10th December 2024, reconstituting the Technical Appraisal Committee (TAC) for the “Project for Vehicle Location Tracking and Emergency Alert System.”

Key Highlights:

• New TAC Chairperson: Mr. Ashaq Hussain Dar, Director In-charge, NIELIT, has been appointed as the chairman of the TAC, replacing Mr. Shameem Khan.

• Order Revision: This decision partially modifies the earlier Government Order No. 711-JK(GAD) of 2023 issued on 19th June 2023.

• Implementation: The reconstitution aims to streamline the technical evaluation and appraisal of the project.

• Principal Secretary to the Government, IT Department.
• Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor.
• Joint Secretary (J&K) at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
