Constable Recruitment 2024: 5600 Vacancies Announced, Apply Here
The HSSC has announced a recruitment notification for 5,600 constable vacancies as of August 15, 2024. The registration period for interested candidates will commence on September 10, 2024, and conclude on September 24, 2024. Candidates who have successfully qualified in the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group C posts are eligible to apply through the official HSSC website, hssc.gov.in.
Vacancy Details
The total of 5,600 vacancies is categorized as follows:
- Category 1: Male Constable, General Duty – 4,000 vacancies
- Category 2: Female Constable, General Duty – 600 vacancies
- Category 3: Male Constable, India Reserve Battalions – 1,000 vacancies.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have completed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognized board.
- Additionally, they should have passed the Matric (Class 10) examination with Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject.
Age Limit:
- Applicants should be aged between 18 to 25 years as of September 1, 2024. There will be age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
Selection Process
The selection process will involve several stages:
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit in the CET.
- Shortlisted candidates will then undergo the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) followed by the Physical Screening Test (PST).
- Finally, candidates will be invited for a knowledge test, with the top four times the number of vacancies being called for this stage.
To qualify for the knowledge test, candidates must achieve:
- 50% marks for general category candidates.
- 40% marks for reserved category candidates.
