DSEK Approves Promotion of 384 Trained Graduate/Post-Graduate Teachers
The Government of Jammu & Kashmir, through the Directorate of School Education Kashmir, has issued an order regarding the promotion of eligible trained graduate and post-graduate teachers to the position of Masters. Here are the key details from the order:
Key Points of the Order
Vacant Posts: There are 1296 lien-free vacant posts of Masters as of July 1, 2024. After reserving 406 posts for Reserved Category candidates, 890 posts remain available for the General Category.
Promotion Process: The Divisional Departmental Promotion Committee (DDPC) has agreed to fill these 890 vacant posts through the promotion of eligible trained graduate and post-graduate teachers, as well as the confirmation of Incharge Masters. This is in accordance with SRO-375 of 2010, effective from July 6, 2024, on a notional basis, with monetary benefits commencing from the date of physical assumption of the post.
Eligibility and Documentation: The DDPC reviewed the personal files of 444 eligible teachers submitted by the Chief Education Officers. Only 384 cases met the necessary criteria for promotion, based on the vigilance clearance reports and the submission of requisite documents.
Next Steps: The remaining cases will be reviewed in the next DDPC meeting once the necessary documentation is received.
