The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has issued an order granting notional seniority benefits to Mtr. Firdousa Akhter, a teacher from High School Kenihama Budgam, regarding her promotion to the Master’s grade.
According to the order, the Chief Education Officer Budgam had forwarded her case, highlighting that her counterparts and juniors had been promoted to Master’s grade in 2007, while she was promoted later in 2008. After a thorough review by the Divisional Departmental Promotion Committee in a meeting held on 07/08/2024, it was decided that she should be granted notional effect for the Master’s grade promotion from 04/08/2007, aligning her seniority with her counterparts.
The order clarifies that this adjustment is for seniority purposes only. The decision aims to rectify the discrepancy and ensure fair seniority positioning. Copies of the order have been forwarded to relevant authorities for necessary action and record-keeping.
