Government of Jammu and Kashmir Assigns Additional Charge to Engineers in Jal Shakti Department
Jammu/Srinagar, November 26, 2024 – In a recent government order, the Jammu and Kashmir Jal Shakti Department has assigned additional responsibilities to several engineers. These changes, effective December 1, 2024, are being implemented in the interest of administrative efficiency.
Shri Braham Jyoti Sharma, currently Chief Engineer, Irrigation & Flood Control Kashmir, will take over as Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) Kashmir upon the retirement of the incumbent. He has also been assigned additional responsibilities for Hydraulic Circles in Kupwara/Handwara, Baramulla/Sopore, and Srinagar/Ganderbal.
Shri Tirath Ram, I/c Superintending Engineer of the Hydraulic Circle in Anantnag, will additionally oversee the Hydraulic Circle, Budgam.
Shri Vijay Kumar, I/c Superintending Engineer (Mechanical), PHE Mechanical Circle (South) Srinagar, will take charge of the PHE Mechanical Circle (North) Srinagar.
The changes were formalized by Shaleen Kabra, IAS, Financial Commissioner/Additional Chief Secretary, Jal Shakti Department. The order is expected to ensure uninterrupted service and effective management within the department.
