The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued an official order announcing the promotion of several IPS officers from the AGMU cadre to the Selection Grade (Level 13 in the Pay Matrix). The decision follows the recommendations of the Screening Committee during its meeting on December 19, 2024.

A total of 12 officers have been promoted, with some receiving notional benefits from January 1, 2024, while others will receive the same from January 1, 2025, with actual benefits from the date of assumption of charge. Officers include Maqsood-ul-Zaman, Mubassir Latifi Ameer, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Rashmi Wazir, and others.
