The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an official order suspending Shri Naveen Kumar, Driller and District Mineral Officer (DMO) of Kathua, pending an inquiry into his conduct. The suspension has been executed under Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, as per Government Order No. 36-JK(MNG) of 2024, dated December 3, 2024.
During the suspension period, Shri Naveen Kumar will remain attached to the Directorate of Geology and Mining, J&K. In his absence, Shri Varinder Singh, DMO Jammu, will oversee the routine operations of the District Mineral Office, Kathua, alongside his existing duties until further notice.
This action follows a reference from the Personal Section of the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister under No. PS/DCM/2024/317, dated November 28, 2024.
