The Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) is seeking applications for the position of Technical Member (State/UT) in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. This position is crucial as the GSTAT serves as the appellate authority under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 and the Jammu and Kashmir Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.

Qualifications and Eligibility
- Candidates must meet the qualifications and eligibility criteria as outlined in the CGST Act and the GSTAT Rules. Specific details regarding these criteria can be found in Annexure III of the vacancy circular.
Selection Procedure
The selection will be conducted by a Search-Cum-Selection Committee. The process includes:
- Scrutiny of Applications: Applications will be evaluated based on qualifications and relevant experience.
- Shortlisting: Candidates may be called for a personal interaction if deemed necessary.
- Recommendation: The Committee will recommend a panel of two candidates to the Central Government for appointment.

Application Process
Interested candidates should apply online at GSTAT Application Portal. The application window opens on October 14, 2024, and closes on November 14, 2024.
- Applications submitted through other means will be rejected.
- If there are issues uploading documents, candidates can email them to psfinance-jk@nic.in with their application number.
- Serving officers must include a certificate from their employer as per Annexure II.
