According to the official notification, unmarried male and female engineering graduates, as well as widows of Indian Armed Forces personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty, are eligible to apply for the Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army. The course is scheduled to commence in April 2025 at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA). This recruitment drive aims to fill 379 vacancies, with 350 for SSC (Tech) men, 29 for SSC (Tech) women, and two for widows of defense personnel.

1. Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have completed their engineering course in the relevant field. Those in their final year must provide proof of passing the Engineering Degree along with mark sheets of all semesters/years by April 1, 2025.
- Final-year students must submit the engineering degree certificate within 12 weeks of the start of training at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA).
- Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of the Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply.
- Candidates studying in the final year of the Engineering degree course should be able to submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination along with mark sheets of all semesters/years by April 1, 2025.

2. Age Limit:
- For SSC (Tech) men and women candidates, the age should be between 20 to 27 years as of April 1, 2025. A maximum of 35 years of age as of April 1, 2025, is allowed for widows of Indian armed forces defense personnel.
3. Application Process:
- Eligible candidates can submit their applications for the Indian Army SSC Tech Recruitment 2024 through the official website, joinindianarmy.nic.in .
- The application window opens on 16 July 2024, and the submission deadline is 15th August 2024.
