Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Aglar, located in Shopian, Jammu & Kashmir, is inviting applications for the position of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in Computer Science on a contract basis for the academic session 2024-25. This appointment will last until a regular incumbent joins or until the end of the session, whichever comes first.
Application Process
- Application Period: Interested candidates can apply in person using the prescribed application form, which can be obtained from the JNV office during working hours from August 16, 2024, to August 21, 2024.
- Shortlisting Notification: Candidates who are shortlisted will be notified via email or phone on August 22, 2024.
- Interview Date: The interviews for shortlisted candidates will take place on August 23, 2024, at the office of the Principal, JNV Aglar, Shopian.
Essential Qualifications
To be eligible for the TGT (Computer Science) position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Educational Qualifications:
- BCA from a recognized university, or
- Graduation in Computer Science from a recognized university (with Computer Science as a main subject throughout), or
- BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized university.
- B.Ed Degree: A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree is required.
- CTET Requirement: Candidates must have passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II conducted by CBSE, as per NCTE guidelines. There is a relaxation in CTET for certain candidates.
Desirable Skills
- Language Proficiency: Competence to teach in English and Hindi or other regional languages is desirable.
Remuneration
- The monthly remuneration for the position is Rs. 40,625.
Additional Notes
- Non-B.Ed candidates may apply, but they will only be considered if there are no suitable B.Ed candidates available.
- As the school is residential, teachers are required to fulfill residential duties in addition to their regular responsibilities. Boarding and lodging will be provided based on availability and according to NVS norms.
