Reliance Jio has introduced changes to the validity of its ₹69 and ₹139 data booster plans, bringing a major shift for users. Earlier, these data add-on packs carried the same validity as the user’s active base plan. However, Jio has now modified the validity, limiting it to a few days instead of matching the base plan’s duration.
Changes in ₹69 and ₹139 Data Plans
Rs 69 Plan: Previously, this plan offered 6GB of data with the same validity as the active base plan. Now, its validity is restricted to seven days and will only work if the user has an active Jio prepaid plan.
Rs 139 Plan: Earlier, this plan provided 12GB of data with the same validity as the user’s base plan. Now, its validity is also limited to seven days and requires an active Jio prepaid plan to function.
Impact of the Changes
Before this update, if a user had a base plan valid for 42 days, the data booster plan would also last for 42 days. However, with this change, the validity of data booster packs is now fixed and will not extend beyond seven days. Users need to be aware that these plans will work only if their base plan is active.
These changes mean that users will have to manage their data booster recharges more frequently if they rely on them for extra data.
