J&K Government Announces Promotion Committee of JKAS Officers for Class-IV Employees
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an order to reconstitute the Departmental Promotion Committee for Class-IV employees of the J&K Secretariat (Subordinate Service). This committee will oversee promotions for these employees up to the level of Head Assistant and conduct typing tests for eligible matriculate Class-IV staff for promotion to Junior Assistant positions.
The committee is composed as follows:
Shri Rohit Sharma, JKAS – Additional Secretary, General Administration Department (Chairman).
Shri Vivek Phonsa, JKAS – Additional Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Department (Member).
Shri Shakeeb Arsallan, JKAS – Under Secretary, General Administration Department (Member).
Smt. Urvi Singh, JKAS – Under Secretary, General Administration Department (Member Secretary).
This reconstitution modifies the earlier government order (No. 585-JK (GAD) of 2024 dated February 12, 2024). The directive emphasizes ensuring fair promotions and streamlining procedures for eligible employees.
