J&K Government Announces Transfers Of Principals in Higher Education Department

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s Higher Education Department issued an order (No. 548-JK(HE) of 2024) on December 3, 2024, announcing the transfer and postings of various college principals. The move aims to streamline administration and improve the functioning of higher education institutions. The transfers are effective immediately.

Details of Transfers:

  1. Mohammad Farooq Mir: Transferred from GCW Nawakadal, Srinagar, to S.P. College, Srinagar.
  2. Huda Gazali: Moved from GCW Pulwama to GCW Nawakadal, Srinagar.
  3. Yasmeen Farooq: Shifted from GDC Bemina to GCW M.A. Road, Srinagar.
  4. Mudasir Afshan: Retains posting at GDC Bemina.
  5. Mohammad Amin Malik: Transferred from GDC Allochibagh to GDC Budgam.
  6. Ajaz Ahmed Hakak: Assigned to Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar, relieving Dr. Sheikh Ajaz of additional responsibilities.
  7. Tariq Hussain Bhat: Moved from GDC Bandipora to Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar.

Additionally, the Principal of GCW Pulwama has been directed to hold additional charge of GDC Pulwama until further notice.

The order emphasizes that all officials must immediately join their new postings. Copies of the directive have been forwarded to relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, J&K College Directors, and other concerned officials, for compliance and further action.
The transfers are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance the operational efficiency of educational institutions in the region.
