J&K Government Extends Deadline for Annual Property Returns on PRS Portal
The General Administration Department (Vigilance) of Jammu and Kashmir has announced an extension for the submission of annual property returns by government employees. As per Circular, employees are required to submit their property returns for the year 2024 from January 1, 2025, to January 31, 2025, through the PRS portal (https://prs.jk.gov.in).
Key Points of the Notification:
- Non-Compliance Issues: A significant number of employees have failed to submit their property returns, either due to delays or incomplete registration on the PRS portal. This has led to submission defaults.
- Consequences of Non-Submission:
- Employees failing to submit property returns will face punitive action under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Men and Public Servants Declaration of Assets Act.
- Such employees will be considered to have engaged in criminal misconduct under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
- Denial of vigilance clearance for defaulters.
- Final Opportunity for Defaulters:
- A last chance is being provided for employees who missed the deadline.
- They can submit their property returns from February 1, 2025, to February 15, 2025.
- Technical Support:
- Employees facing OTP issues should update their mobile numbers and email IDs on the CPIS portal.
- Other technical issues can be reported to support-prs@jk.gov.in.
- Enforcement & Compliance:
- Controlling Officers and Drawing & Disbursing Officers (DDOs) are responsible for ensuring compliance.
- Administrative Departments must monitor and assess progress.
