The Home Department of the Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued Government Order , granting promotions to certain police inspectors as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP).

This decision was made following recommendations and clearances from the relevant authorities, including:
- 1. A communication from the J&K Public Service Commission (Letter No. PSC/DPS/Home/44/2024-05, dated 29th November 2024).
- 2. A No Objection Certificate from the Anti-Corruption Bureau, J&K (Letter No. ACB/e-7615663/NOC/2024-Police-17541, dated 9th December 2024).
The promoted officers will be placed in Level 8 of the Pay Matrix (₹47,600 – ₹1,51,100), and the promotions are effective immediately.
It was also noted that these promotions are contingent upon the resolution of any ongoing legal proceedings in relevant courts.
