The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is preparing to issue the datesheets for the annual regular examinations of classes 10th, 11th, and 12th within a few days. This was confirmed by the board’s Chairman, Dr. Parikshat Singh Manhas.
In an official statement, Dr. Manhas revealed that the datesheets have been finalized and will likely be released by December 25. He also clarified that the examinations will commence on the dates previously announced by the government, tentatively scheduled for February 14, 15, and 16.
The development comes amidst the ongoing transition of the academic calendar in the region. Earlier, the Omar Abdullah-led NC government introduced a shift in the academic session for classes up to 9th grade, moving it from March to October-November, starting this year. However, for classes 10th, 11th, and 12th, the government has assured that the academic session will also follow the October-November schedule from next year onward.
This change aims to align the academic schedule with the region’s climate and other logistical factors. Students and parents are advised to stay updated as the datesheets will be officially released soon.
