Oil marketing companies (OMCs) announced an increase in the price of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinders by Rs 6.50 per cylinder, on August 1, 2024 effective immediately. This adjustment follows two consecutive months of price reductions; in July, OMCs had cut the price of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 30. With this latest hike, the cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will be Rs 1,652.50 in Delhi. In Mumbai, it will cost Rs 1,605; in Kolkata, Rs 1,764.50; and in Chennai, Rs 1,817.

Domestic LPG Cylinder Price and Price Revision Schedule
Despite the increase in commercial LPG cylinder prices, the prices for domestic LPG cylinders will remain unchanged. It’s worth noting that both commercial and domestic LPG cylinder prices are usually revised on the first day of each month. Domestic cooking gas prices vary by state due to local taxes, with the last update to domestic cylinder prices occurring on March 1, 2024.
