The LPG Subsidy Scheme under the Mukhyamantri Laadli Behna Yojana is designed to provide financial assistance to women in Madhya Pradesh. Eligible women receive a monthly support of ₹1,250 and can purchase LPG cylinders at a subsidized price of ₹450. Currently, over 2.57 crore families benefit from this initiative, with the state government transferring approximately ₹632 crores to support these subsidies.

Benefits of the Scheme

The primary goal of the scheme is to promote the use of clean cooking fuel and reduce health issues associated with traditional fuels. By providing financial support and encouraging the use of safe energy options, the initiative aims to improve the quality of life for women and their families. 

LPG Subsidy Breakdown

The subsidy structure includes:

  • ₹300 subsidy from the central government as part of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
  • An additional ₹58 subsidy from the state government.
  • For women under the Laadli Behna Yojana, the state government provides a ₹358 subsidy, allowing them to purchase LPG cylinders priced at ₹450 instead of the market price of ₹808.

How to Check Subsidy Status

Women can easily check their subsidy status by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official website mylpg.in.
  2. Click on the logo of your LPG provider.
  3. Select “new user” to register.
  4. Enter your consumer number and registered mobile number, then click “continue.”
  5. Create your ID and password, then click “Sign in.”
  6. Log in using your user ID and password, completing the CAPTCHA.
  7. Click on “view cylinder booking history” to see your subsidy details.
