Selection Process of TA Army Bharti 2024
The selection process involves four stages:
- Physical Standards Test (PST) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Medical Examination
- Trade Test – Specific to the role applied for.
- Written Exam – For qualified candidates.
- Document Verification

The 2847 vacancies are spread across different zones of the Territorial Army:

| Zone 4 | Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and other southern states, with 774 vacancies available. |
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must ensure they meet the following eligibility criteria before attending the Bharti Rally:
- Age: 18 to 42 years
- Educational Qualification: 8th or 10th pass depending on the position applied for.
Selection Process
- Physical Standards and Efficiency Test: Candidates must meet specific physical measurements, followed by a performance test.
- Trade Test: For clerical roles, this includes tests on IT and computer proficiency. Tradesmen will be tested on their skills in the relevant trade.
- Written Examination: Candidates who clear the physical and trade tests will sit for a written examination, which will include objective-type questions.
- Document Verification: Finally, candidates will undergo document verification. The merit list will be prepared based on the scores in the written exam and physical tests.
The written exam will be set at the matriculation or 8th-class level, depending on the post, and candidates will need to score a minimum of 32 marks (Soldier GD/Tradesmen) or 40 marks (Soldier Clerk) to pass.
