The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board released Final Selection List of candidates for the posts of Accounts Assistant, Finance Department, UT Cadre, advertised vide Advertisement Notification No. 04 of 2020 Dated. 16.12.2020, under Item No. 106. Notification No. 15-Selection of 2024 07th of March, 2024

Whereas, the Finance Department, vide Indent No. FD/Coord/08/2020 dated 19.11.2020, forwarded the requisition for making direct recruitment to the 972 posts of Accounts Assistant, (UT Cadre) Level-5 (29200-92300).

The requisite qualification for selection against these posts, as per the Indent, is as under:
“Graduation in any stream from any recognized university with minimum of 50% marks for Open Merit and 45% marks for Reserved Category. However, candidates having post Graduate Degree with 50% marks or holding PhD Degree or equivalent shall also be eligible for selection.”

Whereas, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) advertised these 972 posts as per the category-wise break up given hereinabove, vide Notification No. 04 of 2020 dated 16.12.2020 under Item No. 106, for seeking applications from the eligible candidates. The cut-off date for the receipt of the online application form was 31.01.2021; and

Whereas, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) conducted the Written Examination for the post of Accounts Assistant, Finance Department, held on 28th of January, 2024; and

Whereas, the JKSSB, vide Notification No. JKSSB- COE0EXAM/(UT)/105/2023-04 (7372799) dated 09.02.2024, the Result/Score-sheet of the candidates, who appeared in the OMR Based Written Examination held on 28.01.2024 for the said post, was notified. Thereafter, schedule of the Documents Verification (DV) of the candidates falling under the consideration zone was notified vide Notification No. JKSSB- COE0EXAM/(UT)/105/2023-04 (7372799) dated 11.02.2024 and Supplementary Document Verification (DV) vide No. JKSSB-COE0EXAM/(UT)/105/2023-04 (7372799) dated 16.02.2024; and

Whereas, the JKSSB, vide Office Order No. 69-SSB of 2024 dated 14.02.2024, constituted a Selection Committee for preparing the Selection List for the post of Accounts Assistant, Finance Department, UT Cadre, advertised vide Advertisement Notification No. 04 of 2020 Dated. 16.12.2020, under Item No. 106; and

Whereas, the Provisional Selection List for the aforementioned posts prepared as per the merit/eligibility of the candidates and having regard to the extant rules/regulations was placed before the Board at its 262 meeting held on 23.02.2024, which, after deliberations and consideration of the matter, approved its notification; and

Whereas, the Provisional Selection List was notified vide Notification No. JKSSB-Scry/5/2024-03(7415959) dated 26.02.2024, wherein candidates were provided opportunity to submit their representations/grievances, if any, on the dedicated email address Assbfa106@yahoo.com within Five days from the date of its Notification, beyond which no representations will be entertained; and

Whereas, pursuant to the above, the concerned Selection Committee has received various representations, pertaining broadly to the submission of documents w.r.t withheld cases, requests for correction in particulars, withdrawal of candidature etc; and

Whereas, the representations were examined by the concerned Selection Committee and necessary corrections, as per the available record, have been made. Further, on account of removal/rejection of candidature of some candidates, who were figuring in the Provisional List due to deficient documents etc,, the eligible candidates, next in order of merit, have made their way into the Final Selection List; and

Whereas, the proposal for notifying the Final Selection List for the aforesaid 972 posts of Accounts Assistant, Finance Department, as prepared by the concerned Selection Committee, was placed in the Board in its 263 meeting, held on 05.03.2024, which after due consideration of the matter and deliberations on various aspects attendant to the selection, approved its notification.

Now, therefore, after taking into consideration all the aforementioned factors, the Final Selection List of the candidates for the 972 posts Accounts Assistant, Finance Department, UT Cadre, advertised vide Notification No. 04 of 2020 dated 16.12.2020, under Item No. 106, is hereby notified as per Annexure-A, which shall be available on the official website of the JKSSB.
