The Jammu and Kashmir Board Of School Education released Provisional Selection List for the posts of Labour Inspector, under Item No. 66 (UT cadre) and Labour Officer under Item No. 72 (UT cadre), Labour and Employment Department, advertised vide Advertisement Notification No. 04 of 2020 dated 16.12.2020.

The Labour and Employment Department vide Indent No. L&E/Gen/53/2019-1 Dated 30.09.2020 and vide Indent No. L&E/Gen/53/2019-1 Dated 04.12.2020, among other posts, forwarded the requisition for making direct recruitment to the posts of Labour Inspector and Labour Officer, under Item Nos. 66 and 72 respectively.

Whereas, as per the Indent/letter from the Indenting Department, the prescribed qualification for these posts are/were:

For the post of Labour Inspector:

• Essential: Degree in Arts or its equivalent qualification from any university.
• Desirabilities: Degree in Economics or Commerce or Sociology or its equivalent qualification of any recognized university.”

For the post of Labour Officer:

• “Degree with Economics or Commerce or Sociology or Diploma in Social Work/Labour Welfare or Personnel Management or Industrial Psychology from recognized university or institute.”
