NEET-UG Examination 2022: CBI Busts Scam, Suspected Mastermind and Paper Solvers Arrested

NEET-UG Examination 2022: The CBI has arrested eight people who allegedly tried to rig the NEET-UG examination for medical courses that was held Sunday by placing dummy candidates through fraudulent means. The alleged mastermind is among those held.

The agency received inputs that several people had entered into a criminal conspiracy to arrange solvers to impersonate real candidates in the NEET exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) at several centres in Delhi and Haryana on Sunday, the FIR alleged.

It was alleged that the impersonators planned to appear in the NEET UG Exam, 2022 held for admissions in undergraduate medical courses in place of actual candidates and take the test in lieu of huge amounts of money.

The CBI has alleged that user IDs and passwords of the candidates were collected by the accused, who made necessary modifications for getting desired examination centres.

NEET-UG Examination 2022: The NEET-UG examination, which had received 18 lakhs applications this year, was conducted at more than 3,500 centres.

NEET 2022: Kerala Police register case against friskers who forced girls to remove undergarments

The Kerala police on Tuesday registered a case in connection with an alleged incident, where young women and girls who appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, were asked to remove undergarments to be allowed to write the exam in the Kollam district.

Police said a case has been registered under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) on the basis of a complaint of a girl who allegedly faced the humiliating experience while appearing for the NEET exam held at a private educational institute at Ayur in the district on Sunday.
