PM Kisan Yojana: Big Update! Government To Release 12th Installment On This Date

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan Yojana) is a government scheme. Under this income support of Rs 6000 per annum is provided to all eligible farmer families across the country in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each every four months.

The scheme defines family as husband, wife and minor children. The fund of Rs 2,000 is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the farmers/farmer’s family.

The PM Kisan Yojana came into effect from December 1, 2018. It was launched by prime minister Narendra Modi-led government.

PM Kisan 12th Installment will be released in September

According to information received from the sources in the Ministry of Agriculture, the 12th installment is expected to be transferred to the farmers’ accounts on September 1. On the other hand, the last date for completing e-KYC by the government has been extended to 31st July.

Eligibility For PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

  • The following are the eligibility criteria under the yojana:
  • The beneficiary seeking financial assistance is a resident of India
  • Such applicants are small and marginal farmer families. A farmer family includes a husband, wife, and minor children. Husband, Wife, or children cannot claim the benefits separately. In the case of Joint Ownership of land by different related families, then they will be eligible if their shares are less than 2 Ha.
  • The farmer family owns up to 2 Ha of cultivable land that can be used for agriculture operations. The total of all land in different revenue villages must be less than 2 Ha. The land may be located in an urban area as well as a rural area.

Process to apply for PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

To apply for PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, farmers can register them through the official website, i.e. pmkisan.gov.in. Farmers can also approach the Nodal Officer of PM-Kisan Yojna appointed by the state government or they can also go to the nearest Common Services Centres (CSC) and can apply online for the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna.

Documents Required For Registration

If you are registering online then you need to provide a scanned photocopy of the following documents. However, if you are registering offline then you must attach these documents along with your application form.

  • Copy of Aadhaar Card
  • Proof of citizenship
  • Proof of ownership of the agricultural land
  • Details of a bank account including bank name, account number, branch name, and IFSC code.

The PM Kisan website mentioned, “Deadline of eKYC for all the PMKISAN beneficiaries has been extended till 31st July 2022. Eligible farmers need to complete the eKYC before the last date in order to receive financial aid.

PM Kisan Yojana 11th Instalment:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 31 released the 11th instalment of the PM-Kisan Scheme by transferring around Rs 21,000 crore to 10 crore farmers. Under the flagship scheme, an amount of Rs 6000 per year is released in three instalments of Rs 2,000 each directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

Some farmers reported that they did not receive the benefit well after the due date. According to the PM Kisan website, beneficiaries need to follow these points to avoid any problems with respect to PM Kisan funds transfer.

Mismatch in documents

One of the reasons that you might not have received the 11th installment of the PM Kisan Scheme could be due to a difference in name or a mismatch in your name you have entered in the PM Kisan application form and a document like Aadhaar. You need to rectify it in such cases, and make sure there are no discrepancies.

Address updation

Another reason could be a mismatch in the address you have provided while applying and your Aadhaar. If this is so, make sure to update the same address in documents.

Entering the wrong Aadhaar details could be another factor that you might not have received the financial aid in your bank account.

Fake farmer

While the scheme is aimed at benefiting the farmers, there are many who are not eligible to participate in the scheme. Many of them still avail of the benefits, but such people will come under scrutiny.

Here’s how you can check if PM Kisan 11th installment has been credited to the account

  • Visit PM Kisan official website – https://pmkisan.gov.in/
  • Click on ‘Beneficiary status’ tab in right corner of the page
  • Enter Aadhaar number or account number
  • Click on ‘Get data’ tab
  • Details of the status will be displayed depending on the beneficiary. Also, to receive the amount, your name should be in the beneficiary list.

How can I open PM-KISAN account?

To apply, firstly, click on the link www.pmkisan.gov.in. After that, the home page will open on your screen. On the home page, you will find the Farmers Corner, click on it. After that on the next page, you will get the option for new farmer registration.
