Promotion of IPS officers in J&K

Government of Jammu and Kashmir Home Department Ordered Promotion of IPS officers – Postings thereof.

According to an order, the following IPS officers, upon their promotion to the grade of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), shall continue in the present position, with the post declared equivalent in the rank and status to that of ADGP, till held by them:

• 1. Shri Anand Jain, IPS (AGMUT: 1999), IGP Jammu Zone.
• 2. Shri Nitish Kumar, IPS (AGMUT: 1999), IGP CID, J&K.
