CBSE Date Sheet 2024 Shortly! The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will commence the CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2024 from February 15 and conclude the same by April 15, 2024. While the CBSE Date Sheet 2024 Class 10, 12 is still awaited, let us talk about some of the major changes announced by CBSE this year. The Board has released a few important changes such as the removal of division, distinction, no declaration of percentage in CBSE Result 2024, removing the Accountancy answer books, and more.

While waiting for CBSE 10th datesheet 2024 and CBSE date sheet 2024 Class 12, read further to know all the major changes announced by the Board with respect to CBSE Board Exam 2024 Class 10, 12.

No percentage declaration or announcement of overall division, distinction or aggregate in CBSE Result 2024

No overall division, distinction or aggregate will be awarded to the students appearing for CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams 2024. The Board in an official notice informed that many stakeholders requested it to intimate the criteria for calculating the percentage of students appearing for CBSE 10th, 12th Board Exam 2024. The board clarified that it will neither calculate nor declare and inform the percentage of marks while announcing CBSE Class 10, 12 Result 2024.

No Answer Book in Accountancy

With CBSE Board Exam 2024, the Board has removed the answer books that were provided in the subject of Accountancy. It further stated that the decision is taken based on the feedback received from stakeholders. This change will be applicable from the board exams 2023-24.

“It is informed that from Board Examination, 2024 CBSE based on feedback received from stakeholders has decided to do away with the Answer Books wherein tables were provided in the subject of Accountancy. From Examinations-2024, normal lines Answer Books as provided in other subjects in Class 12 will be provided in Accountancy subject also,” the official notification stated.

Special arrangement to appear for CBSE Board Exam 2024 for students participating in sports events, Olympiad

In an official notice, the Board announced that special exams will be conducted for students participating in national or international sports events and international Olympiads who might not be able to appear for CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams 2024. Separate dates will be announced for these special CBSE Board Exams 2024.

However, no separate or special CBSE 2024 examination opportunity will be available for the compartment and practical exams. The Board has taken this decision to promote sports and other educational competitions among the youths.

This special assistance will only be given to those students who participate in the sports recognised by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) and the Olympiad recognised by the Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education (HBCSE).

CBSE Boards exams twice a year, CBSE Results based on best score

While announcing the new curriculum framework (NCF) as per National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan informed that the board exams will be conducted twice a year. During this, students will be allowed to retain the best score. Students can appear for a board exam in subjects they have completed and feel ready for. In addition, as per the NCF, Class 11 and 12 students will have to study two languages and at least one language must be an Indian language and choices of subjects will not be restricted to streams, students will get flexibility to choose.

CBSE Class 10, 12 Sample Paper, Marking Scheme Released

Students prepping to appear for CBSE Class 10 Board Exams 2024 and CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2024 must note that the Board has released a total of 60 sample question papers for Class 10 and 77 for Class 12. Students can check and download the CBSE 10th Sample Paper and Marking Scheme as well as CBSE 12th sample paper and marking scheme from the official website, i.e. cbseacademic.nic.in. The answers are available in the marking scheme along with marks for each answer.
